Liptovska Mara

watercolours

Actually it's Havranok (the hill), but with the view at Liptovská Mara (the lake). It's a place in Slovakia, (been there 3 years ago), which is either very beautiful and interesting- there's an open air museum- reconstruction of Celtic Sanctuary and Oppidum, very unique in this part of Europe (but also due to character of the sanctuary pretty unique worldwide). Anyway I based it on photo I took there and it's landscape practice, one of two done in watercolour, this one in my way. The other, which I'm not planning to show, is done with wet and wet technique, (thing I don't normally use, but a practice, right?) and I can tell You already the control freak in me hates the wet on wet... (maybe also because it was a speed painting, but so far not my cup of tea)

And marking the obvious- the scan and adjustments still don't match reality, but I was expecting that with watercolours.
